About the Brioso Trio
In recent years, the trio has played at various concert venues including Concertgebouw de Vereeniging, Nijmegen and Amare, The Hague. In March 2023, the trio gave their first concert tour in Norway.
During their participation in the Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival in summer 2023, the trio was selected to participate in a special masterclass by Alfred Brendel. They also took lessons in Lucca from Bruno Giuranna, Adrian Brendel, and others. In addition, the trio participated three times in the European Chamber Music Academy, where the musicians immersed themselves in the international chamber music world for a week. They took master classes with Michel Strauss, Hatto Beyerle, Patrick Jüdt, Karla Haltenwanger and members of Cuarteto Casals, among others.
The trio took both the minor and the master specialisation in chamber music during their studies at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. During the minor, they received weekly lessons from members of the Osiris Trio (Ellen Corver, Peter Brunt and Larissa Groeneveld). They also took lessons with Mikhail Zemstov, Slava Poprugin and Janet Krause. Recently, the Brioso Trio started taking lessons at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music with Mathieu van Bellen, violinist of the Busch Trio.
About Leendert Verduijn
Leendert Verduijn is a concert organist, church organist and music teacher. As an organist, he is connected to the Sint Maartenskerk in Zaltbommel, where he plays the magnificent Wolfferts-Heijneman organ (1786). He is also the organist in the Reformed Church of Oudewater-Hekendorp. He plays concerts as an organ soloist at home and abroad, including in Saint Pauls Cathedral in London. Leendert is also active as (choral) supervisor and music teacher and has won several prizes in international competitions.

Series of four classical concerts
This is the third concert in a series of four classical concerts at Museum Speelklok in 2025. On 22 August, organist Laurens de Man will perform, together with hornist Mees Vos. On 19 December, the renowned Cappella Pratensis will close with a concert around the texts of Sister Bertken. The series was kicked off by Gerben Budding together with soprano Nanette Mans.
The Witte organ in Museum Speelklok
The current church organ in the Buurkerk, home to the museum, is the only musical instrument in Museum Speelklok that does not play automatically. It is in the name of J. Bätz & Co (Utrecht 1883). In 1826, German organ builder C.G.F. Witte joined the Bätz brothers in Utrecht and later became a partner. Son Johan Frederik Witte took over the business after his father’s death in 1873 and he built this organ in the Buurkerk. Apart from church services, the organ was also widely used for concerts and radio and audio recordings.
