Music Machines & Me
New! From 15 April, Museum Speelklok is opening its new interactive exhibition, Music Machines & Me. Here, you will learn more about music and technology and the magic of music machines. You will be able to turn things, test things out and press buttons! You will also get to try your hand at being a creator: design and build your own music machine and discover how your ideas come to life. This interactive experience invites you to experiment, create and discover!
Music & technology workshops
During the May holidays, the museum offers special workshops focused on music and technology. In these creative sessions, you’ll get hands-on, experiment with sounds and discover that sound is really in everything. For all dates, times and tickets, read more here.
Musical tours
As well as the exhibition and workshops, you can take part in the Musical Tour. Our guides bring these centuries-old instruments to life and share stories about the history, technology and makers of these musical machines. A unique experience for young and old alike, offering the chance to hear and experience the magic of mechanical music up close!
Museum scavenger hunt
Join the hunt for Toon the organ monkey! Toon has hidden himself in the museum; it’s up to you to find all the colours or correct answers. Found everything? Then you will get a melody that you can compose yourself in the Music Factory.
Extra opening days during the May holidays
During the May holidays, Museum Speelklok is also open on Monday 20 April and Monday 4 May. We are closed on King’s Day (April 27).
