The couture dress contains a 3D printed music tape playing music by producer and DJ Newk! He created AU-2-MATERIA together with fashion designer Maartje Dijkstra. They were inspired by the baroque, majestic Clay clock (ca. 1738), a masterpiece from the collection of Museum Speelklok.

This performance is part of the festival programme for Day of the Composer on June 21. This is a national festival in which over twenty Dutch cities put their composers in the spotlight.

About Beorn Lebenstedt

Music producer and DJ Beorn Lebenstedt has been making music on the computer since 1993. He has been inspired by various electronic music styles since he was a child. From his need to create his own sound world, he merges music styles. He realised quite early that you can really make music with the sound chips of home computers that were still working in 8-bit and he changed along with the developments in this technology: the computer as a musical instrument of the future.

This instrument is immensely versatile and can weave all sounds and rhythms into a dynamic composition. He finds it essential that a composition has a lot to offer and takes you along in an intense musical experience in which he does not shy away from complexity. He draws inspiration from contradictory atmospheres and he incorporates this into his music. For example, he combines serene with tempestuous, cheerful with melancholy.
